RtG, in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Search for Common Ground, ELiDA, and with technical support from Build Up and Zeleman Communications, is implementing the project "Digital Narratives & Artistic Expressions for Peace: Combating Misinformation and Fostering Social Cohesion." The project takes an action-oriented approach to counter misinformation, disinformation, hate speech, and build social cohesion by engaging youth in creative peacebuilding.
As part of its objective to foster social cohesion and intercultural dialogue, the initiative mobilizes young artists through the activity "Mobilize Youth for Peacebuilding through Art." This includes selecting and engaging 10 talented youth artists who are committed to promoting peace and inclusion. Each artist produces one original visual artworks that focus on themes such as peaceful coexistence, conflict resolution, and cultural diversity.
To maximize reach and impact, three key peace messages are selected and amplified through targeted social media campaigns, encouraging public dialogue and spreading awareness. Through these actions, the project empowers young people to use their creativity as a powerful tool for dialogue, unity, and lasting peace.
